Temperature
Wine should be stored in 12-15°C at a stable temperature. Too high a temperature will accelerate the aging process of wine, and too low a temperature may affect the flavor. Avoid exposing wine to extreme temperature changes.
Humidity
The humidity of the storage environment should be maintained between 50-70%. An environment that is too dry can cause the cork to dry out, allowing air to enter the bottle and oxidize the wine. Excessive humidity may cause label mildew.
Avoid light
Wine should be avoided being exposed to sunlight or other strong light sources, as ultraviolet rays can destroy the chemical components in wine and affect flavor and color. Using a light-proof wine cooler or storing wine in a dark place is your best option.
Bottle placement
If the wine is bottled with a cork, the bottle should be placed horizontally to keep the cork moist and prevent air from entering the bottle. If using screw caps, they can be stored vertically.
Avoid vibration
The environment in which wine is stored should be kept stable and avoid excessive vibration. Vibration will affect the sedimentation of the wine and accelerate the deterioration of the wine.
Ventilation environment
The wine storage space should be well ventilated to avoid odor penetration. Wine may absorb odors from the surrounding air, so avoid storing wine in areas with strong odors, such as the kitchen or garage.
